Teri Robertson (Membery)

Membery, Teri Robertson
Teri Robertson Membery of Munds Park passed away on June 13, 2017 at her home in Munds Park with her family and friends by her side, after a 7 month battle with cancer. Teri was born July 31, 1954 in Phoenix Arizona to Howard and Darlene Robertson. She was the oldest of her (4) sisters; Tricia, Tracy, Tanya and Tiki (deceased), and brother; Randy Robertson. Teri attended Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, graduating in 1972. After graduating high school, Teri lived in Scottsdale with her grand parents and worked with her grandmother, Maxine Flickenger as an interior designer in Phoenix. Her grandfather, Ken Flickenger was the Arizona Registrar of Contractors at the time. In August of 1985, Teri and her husband Robert started their life together in Paradise Valley, building their home, family and construction businesses. In June of 1986 their 1st of 4 daughters, Samantha arrived, followed by Sabrina in 1987, Malibu in 1988 (deceased), and Monica in 1989. Then in October of 1994, their only son Montana was born. The family lived in Paradise Valley until 1998 building custom homes on Mummy and Camelback Mountains and developing commercial real estate in Arizona, California, Utah & Oklahoma. Teri coordinated the interior design for all their projects and was responsible for the accounting, taxes, licensing, and whatever else was needed for the business, in addition to being Mom to her 5 kids and "everything" to her husband. In 1998, the Membery family moved to Munds Park where their children attended Kinsey Elementary and Flagstaff High School, and they built a new home overlooking Munds Canyon. Teri was active in all the kids school events and attended nearly every sporting event that they participated in, frequently assisting with coaching & fund raising as well as being the Team Mom on many occasions. She was always willing to help the less fortunate, opening her home to many teenagers and adults over the years who had no where else to go, or no food to eat. Teri always saw the best in people and tried to help everyone in her life to the best of her abilities. Everyone who knew Teri was better off by having her in their life, and they will never forget her warm and loving personality. Teri Membery was a truly special person who was beautiful inside and out, throughout her life. Teri always enjoyed traveling, whether it be to Mission Beach, Malibu, Hawaii, or Las Vegas and especially enjoyed taking summer cruises to Alaska. She was a frequent skier at Snow Bowl as the kids were growing up and was an avid gambler, whether it be Slots, the Lotto, Scrabble or Bingo, Teri loved the thrill of "winning". Her desire to "win" was only surpassed by her need for sugar & sweets. Whether it be cookies, candy, licorice, donuts or brownies, Teri Membery ate more sugar than any other human ever, and still maintained her beauty and 110 pound weight. Teri is survived by her husband, partner and best friend of the last 32 years, Robert Membery, her daughters; Samantha, Sabrina and Monica, her son Montana, her sisters; Tricia, Tracy & Tanya, her brother Randy, 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Membery Family requests that in lieu of flowers, you send your thoughts, messages to the family or recollections of your experiences with Teri to: TeriMembery@gmail.com
